Beautiful place, such a shame they have had owners changed!! |The customer service is horrible would not recommend to anyone that likes to relax and not have to follow silly rules ( as they are extremely strict with them ) |We have been …
We didn't stay in a Cabin, but took our Van and stayed on an unpowered site with friends. A beautiful spot, really clean. Showers and Toilets. Powered sites. Spacious, lovely river and the people running the grounds are lovely. We will definitely be back there.
New owner is rude and has no people skills at all. We have been coming here for approx 45years but we will be looking for somewhere else for our next camping trip. Very sad, it was a great place when the Gells owned it but not anymore and is now way to expensive .
This camping ground is truely a beauty and ticks all the boxes for a get away trip. It offers a wide range of fun activities especially with kids in the river, so make sure you bring your own inflatable with your loved ones. Our kids also enjoyed following a flock of sheep up the hill and the view from there was spectacular. The hosts Karen & Neil are fantastic and kind enough to let us check out very late as our kids did not want to get out of the water even it was chilly. Neil also showed us where to collect kindling for camp fire. I could not recommend enough this stunning camping spot and will definitely return.
A disappointing experience at our once-favorite camp site
My family and I have been regular visitors to this camping site for many years, but our recent experience has left us with mixed feelings.
The campground itself is still a picturesque place for nature lovers. However, it's disheartening to note that the staff, particularly the receptionist, has undergone a noticeable decline in customer service. During our recent visit, the receptionist displayed a level of rudeness that was unexpected. It left us feeling unwelcome.
I drove 8 hours to come in this beautiful spot for camping . But the man on reception is very rude and racist. He said he don't like us even if we booked before he will cancel our booking. Not recommended this place
The male owner is the most arrogant / horrible business I have ever met in my life . The camp site isn’t hard to get good review it’s nice land on water. Every bad review is about the owners and I 100 percent agree. Learn some people skills when we are the ones paying your wage
If you are looking for a safe friendly camping ground especially if you have children then this is the place. You have the river to swim and play in and the peace and quiet as well
